Provided by YP.comDo not take your car here unless you are interested in spending large amounts of money on unnecessary repairs. I took my truck here to diagnose a few sounds, and that is where the fun begins. After 2 days of waiting on a free diagnosis (credit given where it is due) I finally drove down there. Upon arrival I was told I needed to have my springs re-arched and completely rebuilt, I needed to have my all four of my front u-joints replaced (there are only two, not four, and the noises were completely indicative of cv joint failure, NOT u-joint failure, and I needed to have my drum brakes worked on (which I rebuilt from the ground up with all new parts only 3 weeks prior). This comes out to about a grand total of $800 give or take a few hundred for problems along the way I am sure. I was also told my exhaust is rotting out and is very dangerous. With a new exhaust I'm sure you can add another $600-800 to the bill. I told them no thank you and took my truck and left. About $50 later I fixed my own problems. It turns out I needed to replace my emergency brake cable (not drum brakes) and degrease my front hubs. My u joints are not "dangerously falling apart", my springs are just fine, my brakes needed work, but not the parts or time they were going to put into them, and my exhaust has a small leak at a bad weld. All in all this place is just another repair shop that enjoys spending your money on parts you don't need because they are too incompetent to know what the real problems are.

Provided by YP.comWorst mechanic ever..Don't go here
They totally rip-off your money and service is below average. Don't ask them to buy stuff because they will bump up the price by 30% and install (The manager told me this).
Don't believe what i am writing here, you go take your car here and find out what is wrong with it and go to a different store and see the difference in price ans service.
DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.......

Provided by YP.comHi,
Today i went to to this place to get my alternator replaced, first they said that it will cost me $85, then they said it will take more time than expected and said that it will cost me $175. As I was in a hurry i asked them to fix it. I later took my car to a different mechanic he said that it should usually take 45 mins to 1 hour to fix this and shouldn't cost you more than $ 100 .
Do urself a favor don't go to this place for any repairs.

Provided by YP.comI WENT IN BECAUSE EVERYONE SAID IT WAS A MAJOR PROBLEM. I LEFT THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING AND IN TWO HOURS THEY CALLED AND SAID IT WAS A LOOSE CONNECTION AND THEY REFUSED TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SERVICE. I HAVE NOW BEEN BACK AND ALSO SENT MY DAUGHTER. GOOD PEOPLE AND EXCELLENT TECHNICIANS.

Provided by YP.comI have done business with this company for around two years now and I find them very helpful, honest and
sincere at all times. It is very hard for a woman to get
quality work done and you always feel like you are being taken advange of. I trust Fred and the new manager Mark to the fullest. They give me prices up front and do what they say they will do (and sometimes more).

Provided by YP.comThis is not the place to take your car for any repair. We had the CV boots replaced and they did not reinstall the CV axels correctly. The car broke down three weeks later and they refused to pay even for towing. On top of that, they said that because they sent the axels out to another shop, they weren't responsible for what the other shop did, even though we paid Ken's for the work.
They have lied about things that were said and not said regarding repairs and were just disrespectful when we confronted them about the faulty repair. One of the mechanics actually got in my husband's face and threatened him because my husband was "accusing him" of not doing his job right.
I've had them lie and tell me my car is done, but when I get there, the car is still on the rack and needs another 15-20 minutes. In the three times I've taken my car there, they have never remembered to call me when the car is done. I sit at home waiting for the call they promise.
Ken also owns the Texaco on Broadway and the Chevron on Harry Wurzbach outside the main gate of Fort Sam Houston.
I am so surprised to be reading such a message. I have never heard of this complaint before. I would like you to provide me with your name so I can review your past history. This really does not make any sense. I would like to help with this problem, it may have been a long time ago.
