We have been working with Louis Shanks for over a decade. We have furnished three homes exclusively purchasing from Louis Shanks. They are consistently on trend and have a solid selection of inventory from which to choose including accessories. The manager of the San Antonio store, Joel, goes above and beyond to accommodate us. The sales staff are knowledgeable regarding the industry and friendly. We work with one individual particularly, Clay Stone who I cannot say enough wonderful things about in this short amount of space. I highly recommend the store.

I placed a special order 10 weeks ago and still have not received my dining room furniture. Each time I contact my sales rep, I'm told it will be another week, 2 at the most. I was told when I placed the order that it would take 4-6 weeks (although the sales rep mentioned that it probably would be closer to 3 or 4 weeks). Of course, they cover themselves very well with a statement that they aren't responsible for manufacturer delays, when they took half of the total for a deposit and I get a "friendly" reminder of this every time I call ("we understand your frustration, but if you remember, there was a note in the contract that we aren't responsible..."). I obviously have no recourse for a company that takes no responsibility for the action of their vendors. If it's in-stock - go for it - they do have nice things...but beware and special-order at your own risk.
