To anyone looking at buying a Sivage Home, I would strongly caution you. Our recent experience (April 2014 to today) reflects that they do not stand by their 2-10 warranty. The last two times we requested warranty service, we were told, "Sorry, your warranty doesn't cover that". One incident in particular, goes back to a week after closing. It is a collection of water, about 4 inches deep and spanning the width of our driveway, every time it rains, and even every time a neighbor waters their lawn. Basically the driveway was poured at a lower elevation than the street and sidewalk. Sivage said the county needed to lower the road. The county engineer came out, laughed at what we told them, and explained that our home builder did an extremely poor job at laying the driveway. The engineer said that the home builder should have no issues repairing the driveway, as the poor quality was quite obvious, in not only the low elevation, but the large chunks of rebar protruding from the concrete, nearly puncturing our tires. Sivage Homes has refused to open a ticket for warranty service, and will not respond to any of our emails. I think Michael Sivage would be embarrassed to hear what has happened. Anyways, there are positive things we like about our home, but this refusal of service has placed a dark cloud over the entire experience.
