Oak Meadow Elementary opened its doors in l991 in San Antonio. The school serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade and offers an alternative learning environment and autistic classes. Its academic curriculum includes reading, writing, mathematics, science and English. In addition, Oak Meadow Elementary conducts classes in Spanish and health and physical education. The school has a library and media center that offers various electronic resources, including online encyclopedias, reference magazines and newspapers. It supplies stationery items, such as pencils, crayons, colors, folders, scissors, rulers and wide-ruled composition books to students. Oak Meadow Elementary is a part of the North East Independent School District.
