Official Inspection Station was founded in San Antonio, Texas in 1985 by J. W. Barnes. His motivation to start a company devoted solely to quick auto inspections was spawned out of the frustration he observed when many of the local repair shop inspectors were frequently found to be out to lunch or had run out of stickers. For the last 15 years, San Antonians have been getting their vehicles' yearly check up or state inspection at one of Official Inspection Station's convenient locations. Official Inspection Station is well known for our efficient, thorough safety inspection service. Official Inspection takes an active role in the emissions debate that is emerging in San Antonio. Official Inspection Station and its customers should remain knowledgeable about how the environment is being affected by the cars we drive. Official Inspection Station continues to take every step we can to preserve our environment. Official Inspection Station is currently operated by Charissa E. Barnes and her husband Felix N. Venzor. Official Inspection Station advertises a 9 minute Inspection. Our years of experience have led to a safe legal safety inspection process that only takes 9 minutes out of your busy day. To accomplish this, we have invested in the best equipment, from electronic gas cap testers to state-approved brake testers. Official Inspection Station only does State safety inspections. Our customers have places to go and just need their safety inspection: not an oil change or a belt or transmission flush.
