Philip Zinn, MD, FACC is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He practices at Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio's Medical Center location and Methodist Hospital. Dr. Zinn is the son of the principal founding member of Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio, Dr. Myron B. Zinn, one of the first Board Certified cardiologists in San Antonio. Dr. Zinn joined Dr. Myron Zinn, Dr. Randal White and Dr. Barry Wind as the fourth member of the group in 1988. Although there have been great technical advances and the group has grown significantly since that time, Cardiology Clinic still follows its founding principle of always putting the welfare of the patient first. Dr. Zinn received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas in Austin in the Plan II liberal arts honors program. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular imaging and was the first cardiologist in San Antonio to be certified in nuclear cardiology. He is a member of other professional organizations including the American Heart Association, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, the Texas Club of Cardiology, The Bexar County Medical Society and Texas Medical Association.
