Providence Title
3619 Paesanos Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78231
Providence Title Company was founded with a belief that service to the local customer should be the first priority, not national stockholder value. It was this focus and a belief that the corporate title world was getting away from its roots as a relationship driven business that prompted fee attorney Dan Foster to change his 10 year relationship with a national underwriter to an independent agent. Personal relationships are the basis of good business and Dan felt that there was a real need for a more customer focused title company. When Dan shared this vision with Gretchen Wright, manager of his Grapevine office and one of his most experienced employees, she took off with the idea. Within a few short weeks, Gretchen and Dan felt compelled to begin building the company foundation according to this vision. Dan and Gretchen recognized a need for additional local leadership and called upon their long time friend and colleague Lynda Tiedtke. Lynda's experience with the financial and regulatory aspects of the business made her a missing piece and key player for their leadership team. She had also been a local business leader for more than a decade, serving on the boards of numerous civic groups. Providence Title Company began in May 2008, with the five Dan Foster Fee Attorney offices formerly under the LandAmerica Commonwealth brand. With LandAmerica agreeing to become the underwriting partner, the new venture transitioned quickly into a new independent company. After the initial start of the company, the local title community was quick to join in on the new venture, and within the first few months of operation, Providence had added several more closing office locations and doubled in size. With a focus on convenience, Providence Title Company continues to add offices throughout the region, and beyond. However, it will always stay grounded in its commitment to be customer focused, building success for their clients and team members...one set of keys at a time. Dan Foster is CEO and Attorney for Providence Title Company. In a career that has spanned more than 12 years, Dan's practice has been broad and diverse, working in trial and appellant civil litigation and earning certificates from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both consumer and appellant law. During the early course of his practice, Dan began representing customers, builders, and realtors in connection with disputes involving the sale of commercial and residential real estate. This focus led Dan to a career in the land title insurance business. For more than ten years, Dan was associated with LandAmerica Commonwealth and grew his fee attorney business from two employees in one office to more than 50 in six. Although he didn't initially plan to open multiple offices, his expertise and customer centered business made him one of the most successful fee attorneys in the region. In late 2007, Dan began the process which ultimately led to the formation of Providence Title Company. In a business that is becoming increasingly impersonal and geared toward short-term corporate profits, Dan formed Providence with the intent of providing better customer service through local decision making and a strong regional focus. Lynda Tiedtke is the president of Providence Title Company. As a long time resident of Tarrant County, living in both Arlington and Fort Worth, Lynda established herself as one of the leaders in the Fort Worth business community serving on numerous committees and boards including Downtown Fort Worth, Inc, The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Greater Fort Worth Commercial Real Estate Women ( CREW ), the YWCA of Fort Worth, the Rotary Club and Leadership Fort Worth.
