Provided by YP.comI bought a used 2005 Hyundai Elantra from Red McCombs Hyundai Northwest on Feb 10th of 2009. Same day when we checked the car before buying, the
engine light was on and Jerry (the representative at Red McCombs) who sold us the car explained to us that it was due to the oxygen sensor failure and we need not worry. Since I did not had the DL and insurance being my first time in US, Jerry took advantage of us and drove the car by himself and said it was excellent. We believed him and finally from day one after we bought we could hear a tapping sound from under the hood when the car was idling and when I rev up the engine or go beyond 20-30miles/hour it was not heard as much. So, we did not bother too much as we thought it would be due to some slackened belt. Next day I took this to MIDAS where they clearly noted that engine light which was due to camshaft issues. As soon as I heard this, I took the car back to Jerry and he was not at all convinced that this is due to the camshaft error. I was send back home in the same condition believing in its fate which I could not repair due to financial constraints. On 24th of May 2009, my car broke down in the middle of the freeway leaving me and my wife stranded and had no choice other than to tow away to the Superior Hyundai which was the nearest dealer. They quoted me a $5000 bill for an engine replacement which was the same price I paid for the entire car. From then, I went to the north west dealership and tried to contact Jerry and surprisingly he was not working there any more. But his colleagues including manager teased us and told that I should contact Jerry and they cannot help. Wow... what a dealership.. the only reason I purchased is because it had the dealership signature in it where we could trust. But every attempt to negotiate with them failed and they behaved very irresponsibly, which could not have expected from a dealership like this. Within a span of three and half months (hardly 100 days and 1000 miles run), being a reputed new/used car dealer, we do not expect Red McCombs to sell a used car with a cracked cam shaft (tapping sound) which could have been more dangerous to our lives if it were to lose the control and cause accident. Apart from that I had to spend an extra $5000 for a used car within 3 months. So BEWARE of the tactics and STAY AWAY FROM THEM.. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A CAR OR WILL RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS HERE!!

Provided by YP.comI had a very negative experience with the sales manager at Red McCombs Northwest. Hector is very selfish, self-centered, rude and unwilling to help. I had to hunt him down to get answers and when I finally told him just tell me yes or no already, he said to come in and we would work out a deal. However, after wasting 4 hours of the next Saturday with him, I still had no new car, even with $3000 down, a willing co-signed and decent credit. I ended up at Honda and had a new car from beginning to end in 4 hours. Save yourself some time, trouble, grief and heart ache and DO NOT GO TO HECTOR. There is a guy there, named Rick and he was nice, he was new but he was at least willing to help.

Provided by YP.comDo not buy this dealership. I bought a car from them 6 months ago and they promised me they would fix a flaw that it had and after fighting with them for 4 months I finally made a compromise with them and agreed if they paid for the part I would fix it myself. I bought the part and gave them a copy of the invoice and still have not received reimbursement 2 months later.
