Established in 1970 as Northland Manor, the Northland Living Center offers health care services to youths and senior citizens with developmental disabilities. It provides 24-hour nursing and intermediate care and rehabilitative services to people who suffer from substance abuse and mental impairments. The Northland Living Center also conducts communication, social and daily living skills development training sessions, as well as therapeutic and recreational activities. Located in Jackman, Maine, the Northland Living Center is owned and operated by North Country Associates, which operates more than 20 long-term nursing care facilities throughout Maine. North Country Associates provides wound and personal care management services, as well as short-term physical, occupational and speech language therapies.
