I was in for an asthma attack and they left me waiting almost TWO hours. I walked in coughing an wheezing non-stop. I clearly printed on the intake form that I was having asthma symptoms and that I was having trouble breathing. When the medical assistant took my weight and vitals, I could barely talk because of my coughing and wheezing, and no one seemed to care that I was really sick. I only came to this clinic because my family doctor was booked. No one at this clinic seemed to care about me as a patient. I was really suffering. I had to wait about 2 hours to be seen for 5 minutes by a doctor who passively heard me out, and left without telling me about the medications she was prescribing. When I asked for a different medication because I couldn't afford the one prescribed, I was told no and was given no reason why.

Instead of ignoring patients, especially those with obvious signs of illness, the nurses/doctors/assistants should let you know that there will be a wait. But when they ignore you, it feels as if they don't give a crap about you. And instead of not prescribing you a generic medication, they should explain why they can't do so, instead of just saying no. I wouldn't come back to this clinic. There are many minor emergency clinics, but this one isn't worth the long wait and poor service.
