Eye Care Centers of America operates or manages over 375 optical retail stores in 33 states and the District of Columbia through 11 store names that are in the eye care services in each of their respective markets. It offers frames, lenses, accessories and sunglasses including designer and private label frames. In addition, most of its stores provide one-hour service on most prescriptions by utilizing on-site processing laboratories. Brands of eye care carried at Eye Care Centers include Tommy Hilfiger, Transitions, Ralph Lauren, Guess, Flexon, Nine West, Jones New York Eyewear, Nike Vision, Bebe, Gant, Liz Claiborne and Freshlook. Incorporated in Texas in 1988, it is the third largest optical retail chain as measured by net revenues and the largest company focused solely on the optical retail sector in the United States.
