ONE STAR IS ONE TO MANY!!! Not knowing much about sound systems, I called the first shop that I saw on the internet. The folks at Auto Sound seemed pretty nice and knowledgeable so I felt comfortable walking into their shop and ordering a setup. I was charged for one of the sub woofers upfront as a deposti (they already had one in their shop). As the day went on, I starting feeling leery so on the way home I stopped by California Sound. They asked me how much I paid for the speaker and when I told them, they nearly dropped to the floor. They showed me the online retail prices and also showed me their prices. It appears that Auto Sound had marked the speakers up 325% over retail. I called Auto Sound and asked them if they had made a mistake and they told me NO. I asked what recourse I could take and they told me none! They said that they can't compete with larger competitors. Well, with prices like that, they won't have competitors to worry about because they won't get the business to begin with. Don't get me wrong...they are very nice folks, but not the people to work on your sound system or order from.
