The General Jurisdiction Division hears cases throughout California related to contracts and interagency agreements for more than 1,000 state, county, city and local government agencies. The division maintains a staff of more than administrative law judges. It is a part of the Office of Administrative Hearings and has administrative office in Sacramento, Calif. The Office of Administrative Hearings act as a quasi-judicial tribunal and conduct a variety of proceedings. The Office of Administrative Hearings' services include administrative hearings, mediations, arbitrations and other dispute resolution processes. It also provides adjudicatory and settlement services to the school districts and parents of special needs children.
