Established in 2006, the Belmont-San Carlos Fire Department is a part of the city of San Carlos, Calif. The department offers fire prevention and inspection services. Its fire prevention bureau is responsible for fire investigations, public safety demonstrations and plan checks. The Belmont-San Carlos Fire Department also offers public education through a variety of programs, such as fire extinguisher training, school presentations, babysitting classes and workplace safety sessions. The department review plans for extinguishing, sprinkler, fire alarm systems and duct systems. In addition, it operates fire stations. The Belmont-San Carlos Fire Department is a member of the San Mateo County Advanced Life Support Joint Powers Agreement.
