Provided by YP.comI just moved here recently from TN, and needed tranni serviced, (Baaaad).
John and Sam and the AAMCO team were VERY HONEST, they checked my trainni, and all I needed was fluid changed... they could have said, "you need this, this, and that"
As a chick, I feel that when mechanics see us coming they think they are going to get a pocket full of cash...not this place no way!
they said that 60 % are women, and I'm proud to say that I'm the 61%. And, will be taking my car, and recommending Mission Bay AAMCO.
They even offered me Pizza, now how cool is that?
Thanks guys!!! 10 stars!! :)

Provided by YP.comI've dealt with the fellas at AAMCO for over 5 years. They offer a myriad of services from brakes to tranny work. I am extremely happy with the service I have received from the Mission Bay Aamco. I would not take my car anywhere else. They are honest and upfront with what is needed and will go to great lengths to make the customer happy.

Provided by YP.comI took my SUV to Aamco about 4 weeks ago to have the transmission replaced. Actually, they towed it to their business at no charge to me. They were professional and did great work. It didn't take longer than expected; although I had no expectations and was not up-side-down without transportation. All-in-all, it took about 5 business days to diagnose and complete the work. Again, I was not in an emergency/crisis situation w/o my SUV.

Provided by YP.comGary Spencer was of great assistance to me. He kept me updated on a daily basis regarding my vehicle and got me the best deal. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone else.

Provided by YP.comAs terrible as having to deal with transmission woes was, Jerry at Aamco made the process as painless as possible. And although the cost was high, it was certainly reasonable and the service was friendly and prompt. I don't wish transmission troubles on anyone but if you got 'em Aamco's definitely worth checking out.

Provided by YP.comI have been to Aamco two times now, and they are very helpful. They communicate on a regular basis regarding my car, and Sam is very nice. Car repairs are always somewhat painful, but they make it pretty easy because they are so nice to work with. I was really impressed with their professionalism. Plus, they guarantee their work. I highly recommend Aamco for car issues.

Provided by YP.comNow I know this was good service. I dealt with Sam and trust and believe when my friend told me he thought the issue of my car sounding funny was because of my tranny I just didn't want to deal but I knew I had to. The cost to repair was less than expected and it was done in a timely manner.

Provided by YP.comThis was one of the best car repair experiences of many years. I took my car to this Aamco as it was recommended by my neighbor. It had a problem with the AC after starting the engine, the electronic fan clutch would not engage, causing the AC to overload and shut down. This is an inherent problem with the GM trucks, and there is a service bulletin. Gary was able to work the deal with the warranty where they paid the better part of an 800.00 repair bill (same at the dealer, I checked) It cost me far less, the problem is fixed and I drove away amazed that the whole experience was so smooth. I have to say that working with Gary was a breath of fresh air and deserves to be recommended. He was very patient with the warranty company which was above what I expected. It was well worth

Provided by YP.comI took my car in to some other shop in PB, they hooked it up to the machine and said, yup, it's the transmission alright, and quoted me $4,000. Now I know that's too high, so I didn't trust them. I called around and got better quotes, but then called AAMCO on Morena. A guy named Dave answered and described to me the price range for a repair depending on what needed to be done and why, if needed at all. From what I know about transmissions, what he told me made sense and he sounded credible. The quote was also lower and he said he would beat any price in town. I dropped off my car about a month later when I had some cash to deal with it. And they remembered me from my phone call a month ago. So... Dave called me back after looking at my car and says that he's about 90% sure that the problem is not my transmission at all, but corroded battery terminals. Yeah. Battery terminals. So they order some new battery terminals and installed them and kept the car around long enough to drive it and make sure it ran fine, and put some new fluid in there, etc. Car runs perfectly. Long and short is, these guys were competent and honest. They could have easily done unnecessary repairs (whether due to incompetency or dishonesty) amounting to thousands of my dollars and I would not have been any the wiser. Instead, they quickly diagnosed the problem, did some routine maintenance that was needed, and charged me a grand total of $175. Dave was a super straight forward nice guy and saved me a ton of money and headache. I couldn't recommend this place any more. Many thanks to Dave and AAMCO on Morena if they read this.

Provided by YP.comI just have to say thanks to AAMCO for keeping me happy. I drive a 1957 Chevrolet and it is a daily driver. I took my car to them when I first bought it and I was not expecting miracles for it was a 50 year old car and I understood that as well. I had them rebuild my 2 speed power glide and I drove it for a while then it started to act up on me so again back I go to get it fixed and after taking the car to them numerous times I spoke to the owner Bob and stated that I would like a 700r4 installed in place of the power glide. Bob, Rafael and Tim, took very good care of me and replaced it with the 700r4 trans. and it now runs perfect. Thanks for all your help.

Provided by YP.comThe shop was clean without that old smell of stale grease that comes with car repairs. I plan on using The Mission Bay AAMCO for all my future automotive needs and say good-bye to the Acura dealer that I have used for the last 6 years. I'm an extremely satisfied customer.

Provided by YP.comThis shop had my car ready in less than a day and for less $ than any other shops that I called. The performance of the car is the same as it was when I drove it off the lot back in 2005. The management and technicians were the most professional that I ever encountered in the automotive industry.

Provided by YP.comBeing a girl I was hesitant bringing my car here, but I got a recommendation from a friend and tried anyway. These guys are not only friendly but respectful, their pricing was very reasonable. I had gotten quotes for tune ups from a couple of other shops and the other places were definitely trying to rip me off!
