Allison Lynch, MD, is a board-certified family physician dedicated to practicing the full breadth of primary care and caring for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She is skilled in chronic disease management while also focused on preventive medicine and helping patients strive for their best health.As a primary care physician at an academic medical center, Dr. Lynch instructs medical students and residents at UC San Diego School of Medicine. Her research interests include integrative medicine and quality improvement in health care.Prior to joining UC San Diego Health, Dr. Lynch cared for patients at Brigham and Womens Hospital. She also served as an instructor at Harvard Medical School, where she taught medical students the foundations of medicine in the primary care setting. While living in Boston, Dr. Lynch was a medical volunteer for the Boston Marathon.Dr. Lynch completed a residency in family medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was selected for her clinical and leadership abilities to serve as chief resident. She earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. She is board-certified in family medicine.
