I don't know if its the worst HOA but the name is deceiving. "Carefree" I constantly get harassed now after asking them to cut a tree branch full of bees. After my 4th attempt to get the tree cut, the maintenance office keeps harassing me with annoying requirements. The latest is them making me take my small American Flag off the front grass area next to my window after having been there for a year. The letters about anything they can find (even though I have had what I have for a year) keep coming I am just stressed out and can't wait to move but the investment was made recently and I will have to wait. I hope that this helps you make your decision about this place. if you are looking for a stress free HOA and just the normal requirements like no spills or noise this is probably not a good one. They even tried to make me clean out their pile of dirt behind my area, yeah no.

Sounds like all I am doing is complaining but there is nothing good to say about the Management. Other than that the areas is BEAUTIFUL, the neighbors are amazing (I am even marrying a couple that lives 2 doors down, we (all 4 houses make BBQ once in a while and sometimes movie nights).

NOT SO CAREFREE this place is a joke different sets of rules for owners vs renters the HOA corrective Action Notice is only to harrast renters when your new to carefree san carlos no information as to what the rules are until you get the corrective action notice which is a fine until you take care of the notice of the problem no place for children to play other than a small tot lot the only good thing is its across the street from mission trails park!
