Provided by YP.comThe City of San Diego Police Department could meet, or exceed, their yearly quota of speeding violaters if they would set up a "speed trap" at the junction of Soledad Mountain Road and Sagebrush Court. This spot is just north of where Soledad Road meets Soledad Mountain Road, above where the Soledad Mountain Road landslide happened. Drivers coast through the stop sign at Soledad Road and Soledad Mountain Road and by the time they arrive at Sagebrush Court/Drive, they are speeding at 60-70 miles per hour. We have children in our neighborhood, joggers, bikers that ride up to the Soledad Cross and people crossing the road after a walk who have come very close to being run down by speeders that are not only speeding but also think that the bike lane is for passing other drivers. This is one of the most dangerous stretches of road in San Diego County. We have asked for speed bumps, but to no avail. So, if you want to make a ton of money to help out the San Diego County budget, try a speed trap at the Soledad Mountain Road and Sagebrush Drive crossroad. I doubt if this email will do any good, but everyone has to try to do their part to save our children, bikers, pets and neighbors. Thank you.
