Fresco offers a refreshing alternative to your typical pizza joint. While they do serve your traditional pies, you can get delightfully innovative pizza in a New York style. There's lots of delicious non-pizza on the menu as well. They are a little short on seating but they do a brisk take-out business.

I first heard about this on the radio, it was the winner of some contest. New york style pizza has always been my favorite, and since my trip to NY i've always looked for a good place to satisfy my frequent urges. Well, this wasn't it. I'm curious on if the guys who gave it 5 stars have actually ever been to NY. Again the pizza is alright, its just not new york pizza.

If thats what you are looking for, I would recommend Pizzeria Luigi, or even Urbn Pizza in vista way before this place.

I have lived in San Diego for a little over six years and love it here but missed really great New York pizza until I went to MARIO'S New York pizza. I am a pizza lover and have tried most of the so called New york pizza places only to find out they make New York style pizza. Not New York tasting pizza.

The pizza at MARIO'S tastes like the very best New York Pizza and the garlic knots are fantastic.I would suggest this place to any true pizza lover.It is a pretty small place so I hope it does not to busy in the future.
