I was shocked to read the previous review from 2009 of the guy who says this is not a good place... I feel bad for his unfortunate experience but I was logging on to express how thankful we are for this restaurant being here in this neighborhood. We have lived on Mt Abbey Ave for 10 years and have eaten at Giovanni's to many times to count!

We have NEVER had a BAD meal... maybe a few average ones, but most time the food has been excellent! Service has always been acceptable, but who hasn't ever had an off day!

I only wish this guy had not responded with haste to write such a scathing review... there is zero doubt in my mind that the owner would have made it right and he would still be dining there 2 years later! The outcome would have been one of good feelings rather than a nasty attitude.

I owned a restaurant 35 years ago in Michigan and clearly remember several occations that unhappy customers let me know and I made it right, ending up with long time happy customers and friends. Oh well, some will, some won't, so what? We love the place! DouglasCHoover
