Janet Crow, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician who provides primary care for infants, children and adolescents through all of their developmental stages. She especially enjoys the relationships with her young patients, and caring for them as they grow and change.As a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UC San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Crow instructs medical students, residents and fellows. She worked with her colleagues and pediatric residents to develop a quality improvement project to improve universal lipid screening for children ages 9-11. Her work has been published in Pediatrics, Journal of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Clinical Pediatrics, and Survey of Ophthalmology, among others. She has lectured locally and internationally on the topic of global immunizations. Dr. Crow completed a residency in pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kan., where she received the Kyle Lee Gratny Memorial Award for distinguished performance in neonatology. She is board-certified in general pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).Dr. Crow is a member of the Academic Pediatric Association where she served on the Executive Education committee. At UC San Diego School of Medicine, she serves as a member of the Academic General Pediatrics Education and Electives committees. Dr. Crow is also a member of the board of directors for Project MedSend, a foundation that pays educational loans of healthcare professionals providing care for underserved populations.
