Jaswinder Bajwa, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician who specializes in caring for hospitalized patients. As a hospitalist, Dr. Bajwa is assigned to patients at the time of admission and provides care only during their hospital stay. He does not see patients at outpatient clinics and is not available for appointments. Upon a patients hospital discharge, Dr. Bajwa communicates with their regular physician to ensure quality care. Prior to joining UC San Diego Health's Hospital Medicine program in 2011, Dr. Bajwa served as a physician and clinical tutor.Dr. Bajwa completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC Mercy). He earned his medical degree from the Government Medical College in Amritsar, India. Dr. Bajwa is board-certified in internal medicine.
