I've had my air-cooled 1986 Turbo-Look 911 Carrera since 1992. It was my singular goal since I was 6 years old. I must have utilized 23 different shops in 15 cities for various mechanical servicing and repair before having the incredibly great fortune of having it towed into La Jolla Autotech late one night in early 1999. Nearly all of them over promised, over charged, under delivered and under performed.
Since that night and after meeting Lubo and the staff at L.J.A. I have lived as close as 5 miles from his shop and as far as 120 miles from his shop and I have NEVER used any other mechanic ever. I have paid a lot of money a handful of times when many miles away to have my car towed to L.J.A.
He has been a friend for a long, long time. Not a "friend". A FRIEND. He is a man of honor, his word is gold, and he is one hell of a Porsche serviceman.
I'm currently in the process of adding a Cayman S to the stable and Lubo will naturally be an integral part of my evaluation, purchase, and servicing process.
He could fly to Hawaii with all he has done to go the extra mile for me.
