Provided by YP.com“I am extremely pleased and thankful to Promise Hospital of San Diego for the special attention and quality of care they provided to my father Ernesto. Within a short time the Promise Hospital staff was able to wean my father off his ventilator and re-condition him so he could walk and move about on his own. Being a Respiratory Therapist myself, I understood the severity of his condition and am very grateful for the team focused approach they used to bring him back to health.”

Provided by YP.comI am not surprised by the poor review of the inpatient psychiatric services here. Unfortunately I know a psychiatic nurse who works there and who is extremely lacking in morals. I am shocked that she is in sich a position and my heart goes out to those who suffer because of her actions.

Provided by YP.comM y Mother recently died in Promise Hospital. This place has been my worst nightmare. The only promise they can make is to kill your loved one. It was my Brothers idea to put Mom in this dump. It looks like a nice place on the surface and the nurses seem to be attentive, but the Doctors are a joke. When my mom was in ICU they did a code blue. I could not believe my eyes. The Dr's and nurses slowing walked towards ICU as if they had all day to get there. Do NOT put your loved one in this place. You will be sorry if you do.... Please find another hospital not this one.

Provided by YP.comI went to visit someone and their customer service was horrible...receptionist didn't know where to locate social worker then got hold for a nurse to welcome me but she was only at the facility for 2 weeks - she did not know what I was talking about nor she did not present as a staff to welcome a family friend. POOR SERVICE. The manager at the front who was listening didn't care to ask and they had to tell me that it was not a visiting hour yet. This tells me that no one knows what is going in the facility. I left my information and no nobody called back....I feel bad that people who are under psychiatric care are treated bad...I will not recommend this place

Provided by YP.comWhen I was in the inpatient psychiatric hospital I was treated horribly. Another patient (male) came into my room at 2AM and the nursing staff blamed me. They only gave me my medication once a day when I was supposed to be receiving it 4-5 times a day. My psychiatrist and the normal doctor wouldn't get in until around 11:30PM-midnight. The staff that drew my blood were extremely rude and condescending. I requested a vegetarian plate and they kept giving me meat instead. I would never encourage people to come here.

Provided by YP.comI had my husband in the ICU at promise hospital, and not one nurse there was proficient in English, they all continuously spoke in other languages, my husband became very confused. Every-time we asked for something we got the same answer "yea-yea" and then the request was ignored. He also got a secondary infection and was transferred to Alvarado Hospital, all the nurses and doctors there told us that this was a know reoccurring problem that they get patients like my husband from promise at least once a week! DON'T LET THIS HAPPENED TO THE ONE YOU LOVE!
