My wife's CATARACT surgery was scheduled at 10:00 AM. We arrive early and checked in. My Wife was taken to Pre-OP at 10:05. I was told that the entire time from Addmittence to being Discharged is approximalilty 1 hour 30 minutes.
At 10:45, a nurse came into the Lobby and called out my name. I accomplished her back beyond the Lobby thinking that the surgy was over. She informed me that that was not the case. The wife was still in Pre_OP.
I was with the wife from 10:45 in Pre-OP till 11:45 before they took her to the OPS-Center.
At 12:30 PM I asked the front desk what the status of my wife's surgery was. They informed me that she was still in surgery as they were running behind.
I do not like this Surgery Center as they may care for the patients for not for informing the love ones of their care status.
The Physican who provided my wife's care never introduced him to me either in the Pre-OP's room or the Recovery room.
