Robert Y. Lee, MD, is a board-certified family medicine doctor. He provides primary care for children and adults, including preventive care and treatment of acute and chronic diseases. As an assistant professor of family medicine and public health, Dr. Lee is involved in training students in the classroom and clinical settings at UC San Diego School of Medicine. He is committed to providing compassionate and excellent care to all his patients, and has a deep interest in training the next generation of dedicated and well-equipped physicians.In addition to his work with UC San Diego Health , Dr. Lee also practices emergency medicine at the San Diego VA Medical Center, where he provides medical care to veterans and trains medical students and residents.Prior to joining UC San Diego Health in 2009, Dr. Lee worked at University of Chicago and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his residency training at University of Illinois Chicago Illinois Masonic Medical Center and earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School. He is board-certified in family medicine.When not at work, Dr. Lee enjoys jazz, swimming and a variety of sports.
