I never thought that I would be writing a review for a manicurist, but it is precisely because this particular manicurist at Salon Bella -- Holly Johnson -- is so special that I am able to do this.



I have been a nail biter all of my life and have felt terribly ashamed about it. In preparation for my wedding, I decided that I finally had to come to grips with this life long habit.



With trepidation, I looked for a manicurist, and it was my great fortune to find Holly.



She never, once, made me feel ashamed or bad about myself. There was no judgment, only support and encouragement. She accepted me where I was at that point, and we began our journey together to turn this problem around.



Much to my amazement, acrylic nails ended up helping me "jump start" growing my own nails (similar to a nicodine patch, I would say, for smokers). I am no longer wearing them, and while I consider myself a "recovering nail biter," with relapses now and then, I am light years from where I was.



I credit Holly with this. She has, literally, been my "nail therapist," and I would recommend her to anyone who no longer wants to feel self-conscious about their fingernails."
