Provided by YP.comHad dinner on July 9 and while the fried chicken was good, the rest of the sides that went with it sucked. The mixed greens were awful and the cook truly deviated from basic mom's mac and cheese (my dinner partners and I all commented on who could mess up basic mom's mac and cheese). The add insult to injury, we were not allowed to substitute our sides; I knew immediately when they told me what was in their mixed greens that they would not taste good. As for the mac and cheese, I wanted mashed potatoes instead of the mac and cheese, but was told we could not substitute - good luck if your digestive system cannot accommodate their sides! Again, the chicken was good, and my guest who ordered the skirted steak was satisfied with her meal, but did comment that she was refused a substitute the last time she ate there. So, be prepared to get some side dishes that will not stack up to what you might be expecting - as the cooks at Farmer Browns do their own thing (as I guess they should). However, Farmer Brown need to be a little more accommodating to their customers' wishes to substitute their choices when they cannot or do want want the sides that accompany their main dishes.
