When I was looking for a temp to hire position back in 2005, I was given an assignment, but was unaware that my qualifications did not meet the needs of the work site. To add more fuel to the fire, The Job Shop sent another candidate in to replace me, without my knowing. It was the manager of the work site who filled me in on what was going on. Apparently, they didn't care about my needs or wants. It is in my opinion that they were more interested in collecting payments from work sites than placing people in permanent jobs. If you don't mind being used, or if you're just looking for something to do with your life after retirement, I'd say to give it a go. However, if you're seriously looking for a permanent job, you're better off doing your own research. I did MY OWN research, I managed to find a full time position, and I've been at my current job for over two years.
