Dr Hyder is not a dentist. He is an artist. I've been seeing him for years. At some point he did some cosmetic work on my front teeth and every dentist I've had the misfortune to see when I couldn't see him has remarked on the high quality of the work. My teeth look absolutely natural. I followed him from Berkeley to San Francisco because there is just no one like him. More, Dr. Hyder will go to bat for you with the insurance companies. He's on his patient's side 100%.



It is so uplifting to find a dentist-- or a medical doctor in general--who really cares. His staff, by the way, is not only excellent, but friendly and helpful. So, if you want the best, see him!

I was referred to Michael Barkin for two extractions by my regular dentist. I've been so upset with the treatment I received at his office it's difficult for me to describe the experience in a couple paragraphs. In short, Dr. Michael Barkin was rude, arrogant, very rough, and acted as if he wanted to get me out of his office as quickly as possible. Two of his staff members with whom I had contact also treated me very rudely. At first I took the way they had treated me personally, but after reading the other reviews which have been posted I can see I am very much not alone. I would NEVER go back to their office.
