Aiding: ✴Chronic Pain✴ Migraines ✴ Tendonitis ✴ TMJ ✴ Carpal Tunnel ✴ Sports Performance ✴ Postural Alignment  Borrowing from many traditions, I bring  25 years of experience to my work: using elements of Massage, Ortho-Bionomy®, Somatic Movement, Breath Work, and stretching to bring about pain relief, awareness, and improved posture.

A few definitions:  Ortho-Bionomy® stimulates the body's self-correcting and self-balancing reflexes by way of the proprioceptive reflexes located in our joints and muscles. The practitioner uses movement and gentle compression to find positions of comfort which allow the body to change the stress and pain patterns which are causing the discomfort. This work is deeply relaxing.  Somatic Work releases chronically tight muscles and enhances relaxation and body awareness. This work helps to relieve pain and tension from stress, injuries and poor postural habits. Healing is promoted using movement and breath to stimulate reflexive correction in joints and tissues. I use my knowledge of postural alignment and movement to suggest exercises for clients. This process involves stretches and gentle movements designed specifically for each client,it strengthens specific muscles and brings the body back to proper alignment and functioning.  Orthopedic Massage is a specific type of restorative deep tissue work based on the work of well known physical therapist Loren Barry.
