Our experience with Andys Airp...

Our experience with Andys Airport Shuttle has not been good. We contracted with him to take us to SFO for a flight to New York, and to pick us up on our return. Fare - $60 each way, a perfectly reasonable amount. Unfortunately, I paid him $120 plus tip when he took us to the airport, so that he was prepaid for picking us up and transporting us home when we returned from New York. That was a mistake.



We returned from New York on time - 8:30pm - and called Andy, who was supposed to be in the area ready to pick us up. He informed us that he could not be at the airport until at least 10pm, as he was picking up another customer. I told him that was unacceptable and that we would have to find other transportation. He replied that was fine, and that he would refund our payment. Date: August 14, 2010.



Date: August 20, 2010. Having received nothing, I called. He said he would drop off the refund tomorrow, August 21, 2010.



Date: August 23, 2010. No refund. I called. He said he was in Santa Barbara with his ill mother, would be back in the area and drop off the refund tomorrow, August 24, 2010.



Date: September 21, 2010. No refund, no word from him for almost a month. I called. He said he had left the refund in an envelope taped to our front door. I told him I had no evidence that he had done so, and that he had an obligation to hand me the money personally, or see that I received it through some other secure means. (A credit card refund is not possible: he accepts only check or cash.) He replied that he would do so.



Date: October 15, 2010. No refund, no word.
