They are crooked. Charge $220 to shut off water and $220 to turn on in condos. That's outrageous.

I even had a written quote that they changed the pricing on. They bank on most of us not wanting to go to the trouble of taking them to small claims court. Bully is a correct terminology for Chris, the owner. What a waste of air the way he bellows it out.

Quoted one price and charged another to my account without my knowledge. I called AquaTek out on 12/23 for a mainline snake, got a quote over the phone for $128. The same price I have been charge for all my properties and my Aunt's They came out and spent 5 minutes snaking the mainline, the plumber wrapped up and confirmed they had my credit card information on file and left. Two days later I receive a bill for $190, stating this is what they charge for a mainline snake. I called and spoke to someone in billing who said they would talk to Chris about the charge, but they said they were not going to honor the original quote.

I have to say I'm suprised to see a bad review! In the past 7 years I've lived on two properties (Apartment prior, now a condo) in San Jose, and both have used Aquatek exclusively for all of their plumbing repairs and service. Their workers have always been polite, and they have shirts with the company name on it, so people know who they are when they come to the door, or are working on the grounds somewhere. I have and will continue to reccomend them to any family or friends who need plumbing work. They are local and have been in San Jose for a long time - they wouldn't last this long if they werent a good company, AND their BBB rating is an A+!

These guys flooded my apartment and it took over a year to get all of the repairs done because they refused to make a claim with their insurance. I had to take them to small claims court to get them to pay for the damages. They are bullies and I would suggest stearing clear of them.
