Strictly Braids and Braids Beauty and Beyond are the same business. The owner of Strictly Braids opened a beauty shop on S. Bascom Avenue (on the corner of San Carlos St.) in San Jose. She originally opened the new shop under the name Braids, Beauty & Beyond, and recently changed the name on the storefront to Ninja Beauty Shop.



The owner's name is Ninja, and she is a stylist as well. Her name is fitting, because she is a hair ninja.....for real! This woman has talent, skill & experience and she can do just about anything. She has braided my daughter's hair for years. My daughter is tender headed, and Ninja has always been gentle when braiding her hair.



I was inspired to write this review today because my daughter had two huge matted knots in her hair that I had given up hope on detangling. They were locked up and matted like a couple of jumbo dreds.



I called Ninja thinking that she could braid in extensions after cutting out the matted areas. When I made the appointment, she said she might be able to take out the knots, but I was thinking she doesn't know how bad it is, and won't be able to take them out, but was happy that she could at least salvage my daughter's hair with an attractive braided style by weaving in extensions so her missing hair wouldn't be noticeable.



Well, I could hardly believe my eyes as Ninja started to detangle these knots. It took her about 40 minutes, and my daughter's hair was just like new.



She has magic hands, and is a true Hair Ninja. If you want dreds, braids or other natural or processed styles see this woman! And, if you ever need dreds removed (which she's also done) without cutting them out, see this woman! My daughter and I are still in disbelief that she was able to remove these matted knots so effortlessly. We had struggled for hours to take them out to no avail. Thank you Ninja.....You are a miracle worker!
