Donald DeVries is a crook of an attorney. My mother passed away and had a living trust done by Donald. I went to him to see what I had to do with my mothers estate. I'm the only child and my mother had everything organized in her trust so I wouldn't have to go through any trouble. Well Donald gave me a world of trouble. My husband and I met with him for an hour and it was a joke. He told me a bunch of garbage and ran up the time. I got out of there and the first thing I said was this was the weirdest meeting I had ever had. I felt like he was taking advantage of my situation of losing my mom and ran up the time. He gave me a service agreement and I knew something was fishy. He wanted $1,700 to simply do the deed for my mothers estate. I met with him again to tell him that I wasn't going to do business with him he had his college with him Amy Horowitz who was so easy to talk to and explained everything simply to me and didn't give me a bunch of BS. She said it was very easy and would take about 2-3 hours which I only had to spend $875 total. She is no longer with DeVries. I received the invoice and Donald tried to tell me he worked more hours that Amy when all he did was send me and agreement. He want $700 out of me including what I paid Amy $875. I called a couple of other attorneys offices and they have a one hour free consultation and told them all I had to do was have them draw up a deed and record it and make sure it is in my trust. Easy. They said it would cost about $800. I should have went with my gut and never did business with DeVries. I am now $700 in the hole. What a crook.
