Dr. Emami is fantastic...I don...

Dr. Emami is fantastic...I don't know what the problem is with these other women, but if they were looking to be entertained they should have gone to the show or something similar...Dr. Emami is very graceful, intelligent, understanding and compassionate. Ladies, you need to get it together and not be so fragile.

Terrible Bedside Manner

I am a highly educated women with a background in health care who was referred to Dr. Emami by an ER doc at Good Sam. During the history and exam, she was arrogant, dismissive and impatient. She did not seem to want to have a two sided conversation about my concerns and decided that the ER doc must have been wrong about his observations. I politely disagreed and told her I thought that the ER docs observations were correct, which was also quickly dismissed. Like a previous reviewer, Dr. Emami seemed to be judgmental of me (my dress, my lifestyle?.....) Unless you are very conservative, like being spoken to like a child, and don't mind one sided conversations, fine another neurologist!

Unavailable

I've received the WORST costumer service with Dr. Emami and her office. The receptionist never answers the phone and doesn't return messages. I've even called when the messages were full, which tells me it's not checked often. Dr. Emami herself was kind during the initial visit but became very annoyed when a side effect of a medication worried me. I would not recommend her.

Old codger appreciates Dr Emami

Doctor Mitra Emami is a very fine doctor. She listens patiently, she does not force any medication or procedure on you, and she will try to guide you and work with you to solve whatever zombie-like malady is wearing you down. This is exactly how she helped me. I had lost my appetite, my strength and my balance, and she ennabled me to regain all three. If someone else had a bad experience with her, all I can say is to be patient yourself, build a professional relationship with her, or with any doctor for that matter. Over time you will get the service you will be well satisfied with, as I am with Dr Emami.

Respectful and Knowledgeable

Dr. Emami is an excellent neurologist. She treats her patients with kindness and respect. She speaks directly to my young adult daughter, who is developmentally delayed, gently and patiently. Even though my daughter was a difficult patient to interact with initially, Dr. Emami patiently endured her attitude and worked with us to find the best seizure control medication. She has also collaborated with another specialist to find the best balance of medications for her seizure disorder and another condition. I am happy to recommend Dr. Emami to prospective patients!

Terrible Doctor: Arrogant and Prejudicial

Probably the worst doctor I've experienced in 40 years. She is arrogant, impatient and makes snap judgments. She also contradicts herself and blames the patient for not reading her mind. In my daughter’s case, she also seemed to take offense by how my daughter was dressed. If you’re a woman, be sure to dress like you are headed to a funeral otherwise expect to be dismissed by Dr. Emami as unworthy of her time…
