I have been using APD for 30 years, the San Leandro location for about 10. I have repaired dishwashers, refrigerators, ovens, stoves, washers, dryers, furnaces, and A/C and can count on one hand the times they did not have the part I needed in stock. The people there have always needed minimal information to identify the precise part I need. In my experience they have always been friendly, helpful, and patient. They are the GO-TO place for appliance parts, hands down!

I've lived in Fremont for 10 years and Brian and Leo (Fremont store) helped me on a number of occasions. For example, instead of replacing a furnace at around $5,000+ they were able to provide me with the part that fixed the problem (a circuit board for less than $100). Recently my Kenmore dryer stopped working and I went by to ask questions about what brand to get thinking that I would be buying a brand new dryer. Brian gave me a list of reliable options but also told me if I wanted to troubleshoot my dryer he would be happy to test the parts that he thought might have failed. I went home, got the part from the dryer, brought it back and we found the failure. $45 later I had my dryer working good as new. He also told me a number of other things to look for which I found and adapted to prevent further problems down the line. Saved me $400 for a new dryer. My point is it's extremely rare to have the kind of customer service that these guys have. They have years of experience and are not uptight about people coming in and asking questions about this and that. They should have a You Tube channel. Thanks again guys. -Seth

You guys totally Rock. Occasionally they seem to have a little bit of an attitude (ONLY because they get seamped) but they can do that because there's nobody better in the Bay Area.

the guys working behind the counter are so knowledgeable. I highly recommend to visit one of the stores instead of buying the wrong parts online

The folks at APD in San Leandro were great. They helped me find a replacement part for a Kennless water heater and steered me in the right direction. It wasn't the first time; last year they helped me find a drive belt for a dryer. I saved over 10 perecent compared to what Sears wanted and didn't have to pay shipping.



They probably can't come up with your part in each instance, but I would still bet on APD to get you help with your needs.
