Provided by YP.comThe problem with negative reviews about this place is that commentators are just not refined enough to know what quality is, what is good, and what is class. I was reading some of the other reviews about Cafe Roma, and some of the negative statements came from tiny little people that I am old enough to be their Father. What could they possibly know about Gourmet Food and Professional Service.
The place has been there for 30-years, run by the same consolidated family since the Roma's inception, always consistent, and always fantastic. The first thing i think of for treating and rewarding myself and my family is Fine Dining at Cafe Roma; 30-years later, and many wonderful experiences, one phone call, and my favorit table is ready and prepared by my friends and professionals. You have to earn this stuff, and if you do not get it, Dominos Delivers.

Provided by YP.comI found this place by the train station in San Luis Obispo. Loved the Osso Buco and the home cured pancetta in the spaghetti carbonara. Haven't had a carbonara like that since my last trip to Rome.

Provided by YP.comThe facility is beautifully decorated with a warm and inviting feeling. The food was good enough for me to want to go back. The service was horrible. Our waiter acted like it was an inconvience that we were there. He was put off by the slightest request -- like more water. It definitely wasn't worth the $20 lunch tab. I'd skip it in the future there are too many other good places to eat that will actually appreciate your business.

Provided by YP.comExcellent place for either a romantic or a family outing. Have been happily eating here since 1978... many times simply taking my dinner in the great bar which is what I used to do back in Italy. Always interesting bar-tenders and wait staff. Marco, the owner, brings many of the wines back from his family visits to Italy, so always a real treat and well priced. Seasonal fresh fruit muddling in the bar [ollalaberry martini] is special. The restaurant ambiance is quite warm with Dan Peale murals reminding of Tuscan places even though the owners are from Milano and style their food accordingly. Iif you expect heavy sauces with lots of garlic, this may disappoint since the cuisine is northern not southern. Pasta with broccoli rabe is one of our favorites. Expect the sensuous, the subtle... it may not be sublime but it will be authentic.

Provided by YP.comLocally popular, a bit noisy and pricy - this is still an old-fashioned Italian eatery with lots of variety and a warm greeting.
