I would never recommend North American as my own experience was expensive, unprofessional, and untruthful with regards to how they treated me during my move. In my opinion, North American is a company that I would never use again. Here is what happened to me:



1. North American did NOT disclose that they have an "Additional Charges List” before my move.

Promised “Door to Door” Service BUT on the day of delivery North American refused delivery unless I paid extra surprise charges that were never disclosed until after the credit card bill came in.



2. Did NOT disclose their Policies and Procedures BEFORE the move took place.

I was not informed of their policies that their DRIVERS have total power to add extra surprise charges anytime they want, for any reason they want, and if you don't pay them, they keep your entire household and take it to a warehouse where they will store it at per day rate, that again, they won't tell you.



3. Did not provide scale receipts to prove actual weight of my shipment, had to take their word for it.



4. Charged $831.96 in extra surprise charges that they will not account for or explain. North American’s own Additional Charges Sheet states an amount of $628, and North American Corporate said that amount should have been $720. They refuse to explain how they came up with the conflicting amount of $831.96.



5. It has been more than 8 months since the move and I still cannot get Claim Forms to claim my damaged furniture. I have asked North American and North American Corporate several times in writing, by email, and by phone and they refuse to send claim forms. Even the BBB has asked for Claim Forms for me, and they still won’t send.
