The Administration Department of City of San Luis Obispo provides administrative services in the city. Based in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the department is responsible for providing information and recommendations to the Council, implementing council policies and guiding the day-to-day management of the City. It also coordinates the City's economic development and looks after the identification and protection of open space and natural/biological resources in and around the City. Additionally, The Administration Department of City of San Luis Obispo undertakes a variety of special projects, such as managing the City's cable television franchise, serving as liaison to the Downtown Association and enforcing the City's anti-smoking ordinance.
