Provided by YP.comWhen other schools don't quite fit with your children, this is a great school to try. It's a great balance between homeschooling and traditional schooling. My children go here. I love the small classroom size (12 children), the approachable teachers, and the flexibility it gives me to fit the program to my children instead of my children to the program.

Provided by YP.comWe all love SLOCA! Our son lays out his clothes the night before and wakes US up on school days! He is thriving and learning in his class. He has great teachers who make learning fun and challenging. We like the classroom-homeschool hybrid and love the support we get to teach our child at home.

Provided by YP.comWe love this school! I love the hybrid arrangement of two days in the classroom and 3 days at home. The school provides plenty of structure, encouragement and resources to support the homeschool component, and I love being actively involved in my daughters' education. They love going to school and they have so much fun and learn so much. It's not always easy, but It has been a great choice for our family.

Provided by YPmobileOur family has been a part of this wonderful school for 8 years and have experienced growth and change in ways we never thought possible. The teachers are phenomenal. Truly. My children are known by their teachers, who in turn care for them and challenge them to be the best they can be. It is a rigorous program and work is expected. The results make it all worthwhile. As their home teacher, I am learning about history right along with them! I never loved learning growing up- but here at SLOCA, the student exude a love of learning thanks to gifted teachers, amazing curriculum, and a qualified and caring staff. If you are looking for a quality education in an accredited program, this is ideal.

Provided by YP.comThe best decision our family has made! This school's way of learning (classical) brought us closer together, enriched our discussions. Brought history to life through science, literature, art and other ways! We LOVE history and the richness of it, the lessons we learn from it and how we handle ourselves today! WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL, but be forewarned, it's hard work. You get out of it what you put into it, but the results can and will be AMAZING!!!! Thank you SLOCA!!!

Provided by YP.comA wonderful school. We moved my daughter here from the public middle school, and she has flourished. The teachers are outstanding, as are the books and curriculum. Though this type of education is more work for the parents, the benefits are more than worth the effort. The high school program is excellent....my daughter is getting a phenomenally deep academic experience that will prepare her for adulthood as well as college. It has been the perfect school for my child and our family.

Provided by YP.comOur whole family is thriving at this school. The small student/teacher (12-1) ratio makes such a rich curriculum and learning environment possible. There is never busy work or homework at the end of the day. Every family is involved in their child's education through the homeschooling days and many fun and enriching History Days as well as Science and Math days. The students are learning to think for themselves as well as articulate this knowledge and the families are growing closer as a result of being involved in this school. It is a wonderful, supportive, individualized program.
