Here is my experience with San Marcos Gate Repair (that's the name that they went by when I called this number). I called and told them that my electric gate would not close. I said that I thought the fire department may have used their key and opened it. The person who answered the phone said they would have to send a technician to look at it and it would be forty five dollars. I asked if I could email pictures of the system and key locks to see if it was the fire dept. She said that they didn't do that and she had to send a technician. I asked if they had a fire dept key, she said she didn't know if the technicians did. I went ahead and scheduled it for the end of the day. Same day service sounded great, however in an hour or so I received a call to reschedule to the next morning. Ok, not same day but still good. Then at nine at night I got another call to move it to two in the afternoon. Fine, whatever, I just need my gate closed.

The technician arrived on time, looked at the gate and said "yes, it has been locked by the fire department." It only took him a few seconds to come to that conclusion. I asked him to unlock it. He replied that only the fire department has the key. He asked for forty five dollars. I said "what? you've only been here two minutes." "You were told there was a fee to come out" he said. He wouldn't leave my property until I paid. Ron was his name. I told him that I thought that twenty dollars was more reasonable for just a couple of minutes. He said he wasn't the boss and the price was forty five. I asked him to call his boss and he refused. I finally paid him forty five cash. He gave me no receipt.

That is my experience with them, you do with it what you want. Maybe they are a good company. I don't know and I probably never will. I am determined to not use "Gate Repair San Marcos" or "Electric Gate Repair" whatever name they go by ever again.

I was not sure which material to use for my home's gates. Your company offered stainless steel and they have been working very well for the past few months. Thank you for great advice.
