Provided by YP.comSERVICE: Check in was easy and quick. It took about 5 minutes. Checkout was even quicker.
LOCATION/GROUNDS: It is off I-35 a little north of the Outlet Mall. There is a Red Lobster, Chili’s and Luby’s within walking distance. There is plenty of parking in front or on the sides of the building. It is easy to find and easy to get in/out of. I was warned not to park in the Chili’s parking lot since they will tow hotel guests. The hotel is very new and very pretty for a hotel. The hallways are clean and the lobby is well-kept. The pool is very small but clean. It is at the front of the building so it can be noisy.
ROOM: We liked the room the most. It has a half divider which divides the couch and the bed from each other. The TV sits on a dresser drawer and has a lazy Suzan it lays on so it can be rotated toward the couch or the bed. The TV looked to be a 37” and it had about 40 channels and HBO as well. The bed is very soft and comfortable. I wish they included a few firmer pillows, but I just doubled up on them to make them firm enough for me. They include about 4-6 pillows on the bed. There is an alarm that took a little figuring out but it has an MP-3 hookup if you need it. The desk has a high speed internet connection to it. It is easy to use and a nice perk which is free. There was plenty of lighting in the room. The room comes with a fridge and microwave so you can place doggie bags or drinks in it. The room seemed to be a good size for me and my wife. Our room faced the freeway but there was less road noise than I expected. The only small problem was that the shower rod was placed on the wall at an angle causing the shower curtain to only cover 1/2 of the shower and we got water in the bathroom. If the management is looking at this review, then please fix room 206’s shower rod. The shower head looked new and had a variety of settings. Overall, the bathroom is roomy and nice. The bathroom has tile flooring and the shower walls are granite/ silestone. It is a nice touch. They provide you about plenty of towels and they are okay. The AC can definitely cool down the room just fine since we left it off for several hours in the heat of the day and we were able to cool down the room in 20 minutes time.
BREAKFAST: This was a nice surprise. They had waffles, eggs with cheese and ham. They kept refilling it often and also had juices and coffees. Keep in mind that it closes at 9am on the weekdays, so no late breakfasts. On the weekends it stays open till 10am.
Overall this is a great hotel. I am happy to say our experience was great and I would recommend this to other travelers
