I brought lower back MRI images to Dr. Marek because the radiologist indicated that there were some unidentified masses that could be possible gallstones. Dr. Marek never looked at the images. He just said not to worry, if they were gallstones, it was best just to leave them alone. He then proceeded to push me into scheduling a colonoscopy. When I asked if he could remove some skin from some old pregnancy hemhorroids at the same time, he brushed that off and again, pushed something else, this time telling me that I probably had some secret, hidden hemhorroids that would also need several procedures to correct. All this without any examination by Dr. Marek. I left there still wondering what had shown up on my MRI, whether they were gallstones or whether they were something more serious. Now I was scheduled for several other procedures of Dr. Marek's choosing that, no doubt, would be money-makers for him. It was a total waste of my $40 co-pay. I felt used.
