Provided by YP.comThis store carries Tokuhon, which for your laymen out there, translates to "senior citizen crack". I'm kidding, of course. This medicine is like Ben Gay, without the nasty smell. I thought Tokuhon is mostly outlawed in here the mainland. I only see it available at Longs Drug Stores in Hawaii, so I'm delighted I have a new supplier. Oh, I mean "source".
Unfortunately, no tuna poke when I visited. I did find fresh tamarind though, and ankimo monkfish liver - one of the very few places who have this all the time.
Good looking kurobota pork and I also bought a good deal of their plate lunches. Bought scrumptious looking thinly sliced, nicely marbled sukiyaki beef for the ever lazy chef like myself. Marinated those last night in a little mirin, shoyu, fresh organic ginger, organic garlic, organic green onions, brown sugar. I'll write again to let you know how it turned out.
They sell 99 cent enoki mushrooms, great deal and Kohala Kim Chee, made in Honolulu.
Ikura salmon eggs are cheaper than buying at the Russian delis in the Richmond.
What more can I ask for? Maybe just slightly better service. Service with a smile would be nice. I only get this from the Spanish guy behind the sushi counter. He's always nice and courteous.
