Received letter stating VW wanted to buy my leased car
Came in 4/25 to find out what was the offer
Was pre-approved for 30k with my
credit union
Asked how much to purchase my car
Lease and monthly payment about the same
Asked if the rate credit union was offering was lower could I have them pay off the car
Both sales rep and finance rep said yes. After confirming with my Credit Union the better rate I contacted the finance manager for the copy of the original contract to fax to the credit union.
Called multiple times a day for more than a week
Was told if I went through VW wouldn't pay taxes, not true.
Was then told their Business Office was closed.
Other finance rep Johnny would handle
Was finally told manager would call me back, never got a call.
Had to see the Sales Manager who said that 1) Pre Approval from my Credit Union doesn't mean anything. That after I signed I had to go to VW finance for a copy of the contract. Basically saying I wasted my time trying to contact someone at the dealership because they could not help me. Had no answer when I asked why I was not told during the sales or during the two weeks I called in. At that point my only option was to refinance with my credit union. A month later I get multiple calls a day because they need me to bring my car in for a smog. I go where they tell me to and no one there know how to help me, there are no sales reps on the floor. The sales manager is made aware I am
there and he ignores me and drives away. I get another sales finance manager from another dealership and they say the I need to go to a smog place 15 minutes away to have it done. He apologized but claimed that the entire sales team quit one day and that was the reason for the poor service. I will never do business with Hanless Group again.
