Nick's is a great place to get your shoes shined and repaired. They've repaired shoes that I didn't think could be saved. I had a pair that the sole had pretty much worn away and the sides of the shoe were showing lots of wear. They came back looking like brand new. I've also had belts and purses fixed...they take it all. Very happy with their work. Sometimes the repairs cost the same amount as a new pair of shoes but your shoes come out looking like new. And it's better than breaking in a new pair shoes.
