Provided by YP.comNever never never go to National Auto Plaza. The classic stigma of car salesmen being scammy, scummy, cheaters is not only exemplified in the people I encountered there, but that is only multiplied. National Auto Plaza hid information about my car as a young, first-time car buyer that I found out later. They overcharge, they lie, and since I have been to other dealerships I now realize their service is also well below par; in fact it is just plain terrible. A warning to all consumers, if you want honest, fair, and friendly salesmen, then any, literally any, car dealership would be a better choice than National Auto Plaza. For your sanity, financial security, and overall happiness, please please please do not step foot in this dealership. I would also encourage every other person who has had a terrible experience to not only review that here, but to also report that to the BBB, as it is pitiful to have such a dishonest company be a representative of our community.

Provided by YP.comWe had nothing but issues from the time we walked in the door. We were greeted at our truck door, even before we got out of our truck, we got out of the truck and we told the dealer we were here for a new truck, this is our trade in. We do not have a down payment, and we can only afford a $300 a mnth truck payment. We asked to have paperwork done first so they knew where we stood and what trucks they could show up that we could afford, with our trade in. They said it doesnt work that way, we have to find something we like before they can see if we can afford it. We started looking at trucks and found one we liked. They told us the truck payment would be $600 a mnth. I told them we already told you we could only afford $300, that is why I asked you to look at the paperwork first and not show us something we couldnt afford. after 2 hours of negotiations we agreed to $350 a mnth and $200 down. We got into financing to sign the paperwork and the own paper had gone up to $400 dollars. We stood up to walk out and they went back down to $200.00 down. After that we had the truck for about a mnth and the transmission started acting up. The sales man that helped every couple weeks would text us about a new truck they got in. We kept saying we just got a truck we cant get another one. It affects our credit every time we get a new loan. He wouldnt stop. After 6 months of texts my husband finally went in again they showed him a new truck. Again we told them we cannot afford a bigger payment than we agreed to last time. $350 is the limit. We do not have a down payment. Again going into financing the price of the truck went up to $365 a mnth and they said we agreed to $350 down. The truck they wanted to sale us had major issues, the front end was messed up from an accident, the shocks were back, the auto locks dont work, the tires were worn. The check engine light was on. They said they would fix all issues with the truck. But they wouldnt hold the truck for us. We had to sign the paperwork before they would start fixing the truck. My husband believed them and signed the paperwork. They fixed 1 issue with the truck. They kept the truck for 2 weeks in their shop. They got the check engine like to turn off. the other issues didnt get fixed. After we picked up truck we filled out the paperwork to get our gap insurance back from the trade in. They said they would process the paperwork. after 2 weeks of calling and asking about the refund they finally said we dont get it back because we used it for our down payment. We gave them cash for the down payment. They refused to refund our gap insurance. We had a friend that needed a car and my husband, still trusting this dishonest company, sent him down there. The salesman contacted my husband and thanked him for sending the referral and we would get a $350 referral. after 2 weeks of waiting for a referral we called them again. They again said we wouldnt get the referral because we didnt give our friend a business card. They called us to let us know that our registration and licesne plate was in. We went down to pick it up and they tried again to sell us another truck. Again we had to say we cannot buy another truck we just bought one, we are picking up the registration that just came in. We cannot afford this again. They will look for anyway to keep your money, and to get as much out of you as possible. They break their promises and dont listen to you when you tell them what you can do comfortably.

Provided by YP.comI would never, ever recommend this place to anyone, even if my life depended on it.
At first, the sales associates were very kind and willing to help me in any way. Unfortunately, the way they acted was not the same after purchasing a car. They told me that the car would be checked out and fixed before I drove it off of the lot.
Well, I went to pick up the car when they said all had been fixed and everything seemed to be working fine. Less than three hours after having the car, it wouldn't start back up. Finally, I was able to get it jumped and took it back to the dealer. They ensured me that they would fix the problem. Several days later, I came to pick up the "fixed" car and things seemed to be working as they should.
3 days later, I received several letters in the mail that were dated the same day that I picked up the car for good. These letters informed me that NAP had lied about talking to the bank and that they were unable to finance the car like they promised. I was told I had fourteen days to return the car and pay for the mileage I drove.
Needless to say, as I drove back to the dealer, yet again, to return the car, the check engine light came on. I am so glad to be rid of that piece of junk car they sold me.
Returning that car was where the true colors of NAP came out. They informed me that I would have to come back the next day when the right people were in. Thankfully I had all of my paperwork with me and they couldn't run around and make excuses for why they couldn't help me. They expected me to come back at their convenience, despite my busy schedule. They also tried to tell me that I had to pay over $100 dollars for the miles that were put on the car since buying it. I am here to tell you that most of the miles put on that car were from them testing the car after "fixing" various problems.
Edin, was the person I worked with and I want to tell everyone to never ever work with him if you go here. He put on a show and tried to inform me that he was a good person and wasn't playing any tricks with me. Hey, Edin, you were...I am no idiot and I know you were doing the runaround to either get me to have to come back another time or keep that piece of CRAP car.
I can't believe he had the audacity to ask me if I had learned my lesson from this experience. In answer to your question, yes I have. I have learned to never come to NAP, to inform anyone and everyone to never go here, and that you guys are the most rude/inconsiderate people I have ever met. You all don't know what it means to be professional. Your job is to do everything you can to help the customer, especially if the things going on are your fault. You also have no right to assume things and make statements about a persons age.
I really do hope that no one has to go through what I went through with NAP. There are better places out there to find a car and it's not here!

Provided by YP.comWhile the staff was very helpful and flexible as far as getting us a vehicle at a great price, the vehicle they sold us was the worst vehicle we've ever owned. We were told the vehicle had a clean history report but came to find out that it had a variety of frame damage - extremely dangerous! Our experience at NAP has made us very weary of buying used vehicles.

Provided by YPmobileThey sold me a car that later I found out they didn't do an inspection prior to selling it to me. I brought it in because it was having various issues. They didn't want to fix them at first. I asked for the 5 point inspection paperwork and thats when I found out they didn't do one. They kept the vehicle for 3 weeks while the were supposedly fixing all the issues. Only 2 of the issues were fixed. They also stated they would reimburse me for a rental car while the vehicle was being worked on. They wouldn't reimburse me for the rental car. Very bad customer service "after" you purchase a vehicle. Do not go here.

Provided by YPmobileThey do not even deserve a star at all!!! These people disgust me. The sales person I worked with was very helpful in the beginning. I told him what I was looking for and he helped me find something. I then found a Nissan pathfinder I really liked and really wanted. I was determined to get this car and so I brought it home to my husband and he did not approve of it. I went back to the dealership the next day and told them what he said they then said they can help me find something and to bring him back when he is available. We went a few days later and found a Chevy traverse that I really liked. I knew this was a car I wanted and my husband approved it so we proceeded with purchasing it. A few weeks later we got a call saying they couldn't make our financing work so I needed to bring back the car (I already was in love with it and really it takes weeks to find out you should have found out the next day or something) we went back to talk with them they then kept saying it was our fault and our employer was not cooperating with them. We asked for our deposit back and then they pull some bull crap about they are stealing $500 of mine for driving the car. I was raging with anger and demanded it be refunded to me since it's not my fault and they are the ones that took over a month to try to "get the financing to go through" even when we spoke with our employer and they said they gave the information to the dealership that they needed. They refused to give me my $500 so I decided to bring my father and husband in both demanded all my money back and they were still very unreasonable. In the end I walked out $500 less and a very bad impression of national auto plaza. They do not deserve anyone's business!!!

Provided by YP.comI will never refer ANYONE to National Auto Plaza. The salesman, service team, and even the management are complete scum bags. We worked primarily with Jon and Chris. Both of them were so wonderful to begin with. Told us all of the right things, joked around with us, made us feel completely comfortable. Jon even told us what to expect, what to say to the managers to get the deal we wanted, and everything. Neither my husband or I felt comfortable making a decision right then, but it was the last day of the month and Jon asked us to sign the papers so he could get his bonus, and let us know that we had 3 days to cancel if we wanted. There were also minor issues with the cars that we wanted fixed before we took the cars, and he told us not to write any "repairs" on those forms because they would try to charge us, and that he would get it taken care of for us. We ended up buying 2 cars, and also referred several people to them who also bought cars. We came back within the 3 day period to cancel our contracts because we had decided that we didn't want to go through with it. We went straight to Jon, who seemed upset but agreed to help figure something out. He got his manager (Chris) involved and then DISAPPEARED. He was nowhere to be found. We had him paged several times and he never came until about an hour later. In the meantime, we were stuck with his airhead manager Chris. Chris was very unprofessional and very rude. He raised his voice to us and told us that there was nothing we could do about it. Chris ended up leaving us stranded also. Koo, the finance guy, ended up coming out and talking to us. He tried to resolve the situation, but also raised his voice to begin with. He refused to speak with my dad who was there as support. Jon showed up later on and was very emotional, told us that we were going to make him lose his job. Then he disappeared again and my husband got a text saying "I hope you're happy, I lost my job now." (To which we found out was not true, because we came back several times and he was still there.) He also texted some of the people we referred to tell them to tell us to stop. Eventually we agreed to work some things out with Koo and we took the cars home. Both of our cars, AND TWO of the cars that were bought because of our referrals, have had MAJOR issues and it has only been 6 months. We have had to spend thousands of dollars on our cars since then to get them in working, decent order. One thing is the Catalytic Converter, which would not have passed inspection. Also the trunk of the SUV will not close, which also would not pass inspection. This was also something that was promised to be fixed... broke AGAIN within a week of buying it, and they refused to fix it again. My husband's windows don't work. We dropped it off to have it fixed, and picked it up with MORE problems than when we dropped it off. And the windows are still not fixed. We were told it was under warranty because it was something they worked on before we bought the car, but then when we took it back to get worked on, they informed us that the problem i s not what they worked on before, so it would not be covered under warranty. National Auto Plaza is full of sleazy, dishonest people and I will never refer anyone there again.

I was taken advantage of for YES, being a Woman who went there alone and was prayed upon - I have never felt so ashamed for not catching on to the power of persuasion- I was sold a 2008 KIA Rondo with over 95,000 miles on it and when everything was said and done it was going to cost me 15,0000.00 - I later realized i was be taken for a fool and also could not afford the financing- I never took possession of the car "it needed work" I went in on Saturday - I called on Monday to cancel transaction transaction - I was told I had 7 days to rescind - When I called they told me "TOO BAD' you signed a binding contract - so now i am getting a lawyer. BAD PLACE! 0 star rating

Provided by YP.comI hate these guys! First they sold us the wrong car! There were two ford fiestas in the parking lot. Same color smae year only difference is one had forty thousand miles on it one had thirty. We bought the one for thirty. At first I just thought it was an honest mistake. My fiance and I didn't even realize it until we started hooking up synch to the dash board and then pulled out the paper work and looked at the vin number on file and then the one on the car! Second mistake is my car sales man called me and said they forgot to do the Emissions! This is violating state law! I told him I could come in two weeks because my weekends were full. He said ok and then called me back thirty minutes later begging me to come in asap because the plates would expire. I called the dmv and asked what would happen to the dealership if I didn't go and they said they would get a thousand dollar fine or more. So me being nice decided to call my car salesman back. At first I tried to make the appointment for about 7 pm. They would make a mechanic stay late. It wasn't his fault so I came in early. Turns out my car salesman didn't even have the descensy to meet me and apologize for the mistake in person. The secretary paged him three times and fifteen minutes later after arriving on time they said he was conviently out on a test drive with a customer. I was livid! The secretary then told me go find the parts and services department on my own with no escort and said help your self. I couldn't believe there customer service. I am switching my loan over to mountain america so that I don't have to deal with these jerks any more. This place will act like your best friend until the papers are signed and then treat you like dirt! NEVER GO HERE unless you like being condenscended.

Provided by YP.comBought a car there and very happy with the deal and the car eventhough had some problem with the car. For those people who arent happy because they have problem with the car after they bought it and signed paper saying they bought it AS IS, I wonder what part of the AS IS don't they understand. Is it the A or S or I or S??????Should have done your due deligence before signing or buying the car instead of blaming other people for your own decision. After you bought it AS IS, the car is yours. AS IS means AS IS.Take responsibility people. National didnt built the car. They sold it to you if you want to buy it. If you dont, then go somewhere else. It is a free country. I recommend this dealership to anybody. Good people. Thanks Eric with a K

Provided by YPmobileWill NEVER go here again!!! Went in 3 months ago looking to trade in my car. Wasn't happy with the trade they offered so I left. Then a couple of weeks ago they called wanting to work on a deal and promised they would save us money so we went back. They now offered us 5,000 dollars less trade then when we went in 3 months ago. To say I was mad was an understatement!!!!!! They were looking to screw us hard and manipulated the numbers to make it not look so bad! They would not listen to any thing I would say. Every car they would show us was way over the price I told them I wanted to spend. And it was hard to get the price of the car out of them in the first place!!!! It was very irritating to have my time and gas wasted!!! Would not recommend to anyone!!! Take your business other places you'll be better off!!! I will never ever go back that's for sure!!!!!

Provided by YP.comWhen I went there I thought I was getting a great deal but on my way home I noticed there was problems with the car. I tried repeatedly to talk to somebody at the dealership to see if there was anything they were willing to do since they didn't bother telling me there was problems with the vehicle but they kept blowing me off. Now I've got to spend at minimum 1,000 dollars to fix my car and I've only had it for 9 days! I wouldn't suggest buying cars from this dealership.

Provided by YP.comI can’t speak to their service when trying to purchase a car because I was just trying to sell my car to them. I had received an offer from another car dealership in the area and called to ask if they thought they could beat it.
Matt told me over the phone that he though it would be possible and he spoke to his used car manager who said that they wanted my car.
I decided to make the 30 minute drive to Sandy since it sounded like they would be able to make me a better offer. I had been to another dealership in the area that buys cars and it had only taken 30 minutes to get their offer. I was expecting something similar at National Auto Plaza.
After an hour I was given an offer that was better than the other offer I had been given. I asked them to put it in writing so my husband and I could come back up later that evening to finish out the deal. I was told both by Matt and by the manager that I didn’t need the offer in writing because they “don’t play games” and it wouldn’t be a problem at all.
Both of them tried to get me to go through with the deal right then even though I didn’t have the title with me and I didn’t have a way to get back home. I was told that one of their technicians could drive me home and that it was fine that I didn’t have the title with me, that I could just bring it back up sometime.
I didn’t feel comfortable with that offer so I called my husband to see if he would be willing to leave work to grab the title and come meet me at the dealership. He said that he was if they would increase the offer by $100 to compensate for our time.
When I talked to Matt about what my husband said, he told me that he didn’t think it would be a problem but that he needed to go check. Prior to this he was asking me what it would take to do the deal right now and had asked if I would be willing to do it if they increased the offer $100 so it really had been his idea.
Well after waiting for awhile longer Matt came back over to let me know what they had decided and he told me they no longer wanted my car.
I was furious that I had just waisted 30 minutes driving up to Sandy and by the end of it all 2 hours sitting around at the dealership and then another 30 minutes to drive back home. I left the dealership and was so upset that I ended up in tears in my car as I was leaving.
I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of doing business of any kind with this dealership to reconsider and look elsewhere for a place to sell or buy a car.
