Provided by YP.comI was at a dealership on a Saturday and was told that my car needed to be taken to a transmission shop...I called and Kyle answered the phone. Even though it was after hours and they were closed. He took the time to help me out and rather than go through my warranty company to have the car towed, he called and sent his tow truck, while I was still on the phone with him. He then said that he would take care of it and to relax. He called my warranty company as soon as he hung up with me to get the ball rolling. On Wednesday of this week, the warranty company was dragging their feet and Kyle helped to get the fire lit up under their feet. Turns out, he not only managed to get it rolling but was also able to get them to pay for a new transmission.

Provided by YP.comFirst off, I was completely sold on the "FREE INSPECTION". From the moment I walked in I did not know about it until it was brought to my attention. I was just going to get another opinion on a matter I had already came to a conclusion and wanted a professional opinion before I made my next move. So pleased with how the start of this was I had already told my friends about how great this was going to turn out. "Oh. A free INSPECTION? Since that's free that will save me at least $100 from the other places." Yeah not so much. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday and had not heard one word from the same enthusiastic mechanic who took my keys with a smile and a voice of confidence reassuring me that my car would be back on the road in no time. Here comes Saturday, I get a call from the mechanic stating that I would have to buy something to complete the "FREE INSPECTION", that's not the problem. I was already prepared to spend over $600 for the repair because of what I had already assumed what the issue was. The problem is that the mechanic knew about this on Tuesday. If he had called me I would have gave him the go ahead and would not have been out of my car for days. DAYS of an INSPECTION. NOT A REPAIR AN INSPECTION. NO he wasn't waiting for parts nor was he even starting on what I even thought the issue was. I was told "We ran the test 2 time and that's 20 mins that I have my mechanics looking at your car for free I am out almost $200." This is how you treat customers that may be spending an entire pay check to fix any issue because their car is their way to get back and forth to work. 5 days waiting on an estimate that take 20 mins huh? well I will be a monkeys uncle. SO with this 'FREE INSPECTION" I was out over $100 and 5 plus days with out my car. Yeah that not that much money for people who charge you $230 on putting in a radiator and that's just LABOR not how they hit you over the head with the actual cost of the radiator. But this is what you expect with mechanics. This is why you have DIY projects. What I lost that week was 12 hours of work for 20 min inspect that could have been resolved in a matter of 20 mins. Well thank you. I did as you asked left a review came home made a yahoo account JUST FOR YOU.

Provided by YP.comRip off - My wife brought our car in and was given an estimate for a part of $275.00. She was told this was his after market discount price etc. We found the same part for $130.00 at every store in town. When she called him to ask him why he was charging us so much, he had no answers. Now, I know everyone needs to make money, but why do you need to cheat people so badly? $150.00 mark up is down right shady at best, and labor on top of that? What is most concerning is that this was the owner, Jeff something or other who was responsible for all this. I do not recommend this shop to anyone, and give them a huge shame on you for being so dishonest.
ang engman - sorry for your disappointment. please understand that while you may be able to find cheaper parts..when you install them you do not have to warranty the labor on that part nationwide at 850 locations.. also, it seems that nobody makes a stink buying an egg sandwich for $4.50 when you can buy an egg for 12 cents and a two pieces of bread for twenty cents????? there is much more involved in runninga repair garage than mere parts and labor. if someone is competent at vehicle maintenence and repair it is commendable to save the money anyway you can, but please be fair - and by the way i hope the car is still working well for you. thank you bob - aamco sanford manager

Provided by YP.comTook a vehicle into the store with two easy leaks. I got a quote to fix 2 leaks it was $350 dollars. 10 days and $900 later I got my car back. Do not give any authorization over the phone EVER!!!! three days after I got my car back the transmission still had leaks.
1. I had to stay in touch with them for updates, they are horrible about returning calls.
2. All of the misunderstandings were my fault according to them, they took very little responsibility for anything and I actually have a great mechanical backround, just didn't have time to fix the car.
3. The work was $550 dollars over what I wanted to spend and they couldn't figure out why I wasn't happy with all the extras they gave me.
4. The "free" inspection really isn't free you have to pay for mounts if the tranny is taken out and fluids, etc etc you get the picture.
5. I dropped the car off on a Monday was supposed to pick it up Friday, didn't find out until Thursday that they had not touched the vehicle gave them until Saturday didn't get the vehicle until Wednesday of the next week.
6. Between Monday and Thursday attempts to sell me a $1500 upgrade and a $1750 upgrade were made and they apparently didn't even have the tranny torn apart yet. Again I asked for $350 dollars to repair 2 leaks.
Good news is I did get alot for $900, bad news is I only wanted $350 dollars worth of repairs. Our Christmas money went into the transmission. If I had them remove the parts they installed I would have been charged labor.
