Seminole County Public Works mission is to design, build and maintain an infrastructure of the highest quality, managed by a dedicated professional workforce in service to the community. The department s divisions include engineering, roads-stormwater, traffic engineering and trails. The roads-stormwater division is responsible for repair and maintenance of county roadways, primary and secondary drainage facilities, including canals, ditches, retention ponds, pipes and associated structures, tree trimming and removal and landscaping. The engineers division provides professional engineering support to the board of county commissioners and other county departments and divisions. Seminole County Public Works traffic engineering division performs all essential engineering and operations functions related to traffic safety and efficiency elements as provided by Florida Law. Seminole County Public Works is located in Sanford, Fla.
